Media in Motion Video and The National Center on Family Homelessness have teamed up produce a Documentary Film on the 1.5 Million Children in America and their families.
Homeless children experience more hunger, poorer physical and mental health, and fewer educational opportunities than children with permanent homes. Our film will outline the social, economic, and personal impact of these children growing up in families without a home, and what we can do to stop it.
In the past 10 years, we have seen a dramatic change in the face of homelessness: Today more than 40% of the homeless are children.
Our current economic crisis has not only lead to inadequate government programs to help this population, it is also creating a dramatic increase in the number of homeless families. Homeless children are the innocent victims of this crisis and do not have the ability to change their circumstance.
We are currently looking for financial support to produce this documentary in a timely manner. If you or your organization would like to help us get the word out, please contact us. All donations are tax-deductible.
